I’m so happy it’s Friday. I’m going to go home, type up a worksheet for my advanced class, maybe grade through a class or two here and there just to get a few stacks of tests out of the way, and then spend the rest of the night playing Animal Crossing and watching Voltron on our comfy-ass couch. Maybe I’ll start working on the presentation I’m going to give November 15 (Dent Day!) for the French Film Festival (We [the French Department {i.e. Keri and me} and the library] got a grant from the French government to put this festival on here, one of only three sites in the state to get this privelege.), which is going to kickass. I’m going to teach the audience some swear words as well as some slang. It’s going to be great! Of course, as most of you know, I have little to no grasp of what constitutes just “bad” and what’s “very bad,” so I’ll be having Keri keep an eye on me as I come up with examples. ☺
At any rate, I’m tired (stupid insomnia) and need to get home in order to make sure the husband wakes up in time to go to work. I’m thinking Chinese food, Animal Crossing and Voltron while lounging on the couch with Kitty all night. Ah, sounds relaxing. GàDcV! (A funny phrase for me to say, hehe.)
Heh:
Do the french comic thing!
Something else:
Mom and I were out celebrating our anniversary (Simon was along) and Simon was reading one of the ads. It was about 'Half Happy Hour'. A discussion about the proper syntax ensued. We decided that we should ask you. Does this mean being half happy for an hour (so we knew this was wrong). Shouldn't happy hour be hyphenated (happy-hour)? Having Simon along is always interesting.
