X-files and French classes

Well, today I woke up to a phone call to find that there was a meeting for all TAs and GAs in the LLL department. I had been told a while back that there’d be a meeting on a Friday, but no one ever told me what time it was, and since the ISU Portal has been down, I haven’t had access to my campus e-mail to know if I got an e-mail about it. Oh well, it didn’t take long to haul my butt outta bed and into some clothes to run down to the meeting. It lasted until one, a lot longer than I expected (which isn’t saying much since I didn’t have any idea what time it was going to be in the first place, after all). I got a lot of random info, however, and so now I have to go back and re-edit my four syllabi. Whee. I don’t suppose I’ll have to really change a lot, but there’s still a lot of work to do on lesson plans and the like. I’m at least very organized. I even have a binder! I’ve just been sitting here watching the X-files and working on my four French classes, getting ready for next Wednesday. There’s plenty of X-files for me to go through the rest of the night while I work on this, after all. Plenty of time to come up with some more lesson plans and things to do. I gotta say, I’m getting antsy to get in the classroom. It’s going to be fun.

    I dunno, season three is excellent as far as the mythology goes, but seasons four and six have some excellent episodes, some really funny ones. I dunno, that's really a toughie. I dunno. A real toughie!

    Save some money:

    and make sure you get one of the new "slim" sets. They don't have as many extra features, but they average around $35 (Amazon prices) rather than $80 (again, Amazon). I have the original 4 and 6 (and the slim 1), and the special features aren't worth 50 bucks. You might be able to ask for two since they're so much cheaper!
