The little brother is now 16 today! It’s really his special day because it’s 06/06/06! Wait, 666? Yeah, that sounds like Simon. 😉 At any rate, happy birthday, Freckle Bomb! It was great having you up here to watch silly cartoons, play lots of video games and read comics! Kitty says “meow” to you or something, I’m sure. One way or the other, she’s crazy, you’re crazy, and it’s all a bunch of Ringwald madness. 😀 Vivez les fous!
In other news, uh, not a whole lot going on. I spent the better part of the weekend rearranging the living room with Ian then going through damn near every book in the house to organize them following the Library of Congress Classification. I chose LCC over DDS (the Dewey Decimal System) because of the level of specification, categorization, subcategorization, and my own familiarity with LCC over DDS. We have an entire six-foot-tall shelf of non-fiction plus three other bookshelves covered in fiction (in at least six languages that I can think of) where the books are actually doubled up because I ran out of shelves. We’re going to get another six-foot bookshelf next paycheck for the rest of the fiction. It was so much fun that I can barely wait to sit down with Buster and go through the entire collection cataloguing them for easy on-line reference. It’ll be great!!!
I walked to work this morning. It wasn’t too far and there were only about a half dozen lights or so to go through. It didn’t take as long as I thought either, so the next time I do it, I won’t leave as early. My legs feel fine now though they were hurting more earlier when I first got in. I hope to walk in more often just to get more exercise. I am, after all, a bloated water buffalo who needs to lose nearly half her current weight. So I’ll try to walk in more often and need to get back to the elliptical as well. I hate being so fat.
Other than that, I can’t think of a lot to write about. I have my word cloud at the top of the page with my post categories in it. Hitting the refresh button will move it around in case there’s a link under another one to where you can’t click on it, but who but me uses the categories to search for things anyway? Um, today at work, we’re really just getting last-minute schedules in. We had a student show up today for orientation though it doesn’t officially start until Thursday. Other than that, it’s just putzing around until 4:30, getting ready for orientation soon. Boooooooring! At least I have some cross stitching and doodling I can do. And sudoku!
