Before I get creamed here at work (as in “flattened,” not in the pr0n sense, thank you, you perverts), I wanted to post really quick. They’re having a meeting for all the teachers of University 101, and since Heather and I are not coming back in the fall and therefore not teaching Univ 101, we’ll be the only advisors not attending. That leaves us to handle all OP and AOP students.
Except Heather’s allergies have been really bad lately, and she really needs to get better and maybe see a doctor, so she’s not going to be in today! She just called and sounded miserable, so she’s going to stay home and get better, and I’ll get the students! Hehehe. I’m gonna be like Bob Barker calling for students to “come on down!” I figure I can always call out for lunch (or have Ian bring it to me; I forgot my head of lettuce at home!), and it’s not like I planned to do anything else today. I have cross stitching to do between students (if it happens), and DnD stuff to read if we really don’t have many come in. Today’s the last day of priority scheduling, so it might be a little crazy. I say, “To heck with it!” I have caffeine, I have fruit cups, and I have SAD making me manic. I might have to take a nap later, but I’ll be fine today. On with the students!
Yeah:
Come on down!! I like that. You should do your best Bob Barker voice!
Not too bad so far:
I've had about six students and two phone calls. Since I've got a lull at the moment, I just ordered Jimmy Johns and will take a break as soon as it gets here. I figure this afternoon will be worse as more students wake up and realize today's the last day to add! Hehe.
Erk:
Well, I just had another ten, plus about two or three calls…I can't remember. FINALLY the meeting let out and suddenly the queue outside my door disappeared! Hooray for me! Hehe. I'm gonna hafta goat-wrap my arm though for all the writing I've just done…ouch.
