Every other advisor on the floor left a little before one to go to some teleconferencing thing in the Union, so it’s just me and Heather all afternoon with all the students who need schedules. So far since 12:30, we haven’t seen anyone, but Heather’s sending an e-mail back to a student about advising as I type. It was actually all her typing that made me want to type, so I put the cross stitching down and started typing! Wheee, fun.
I finished the April cat, so hopefully I remember to scan it in sometime in the near future. I haven’t been all that great about remembering to do things at home once I get home. I think about them here at work and even imagine doing all sorts of stuff to fill the evening, but then I get there and forget it all. I don’t know if this is because suddenly I’m with Ian and just want to talk to him and spend time with him, or if it’s because I’m around my gaming computer or MacGuyver episodes or what, but I’m not all that productive once I actually get home despite the busy evenings I mentally plan for during the day. Can’t wait until July when there’s no productive days at work and unproductive days at home–it’ll be unproductive all day long, baby. Oh yeah.
So I’m just working on another cross stitching project here at work while waiting for students to come in. Once I get Jerry back next week, things will be busy again, and work will be fifty times busier because then all the freshmen will be coming in to register. Until then, it’s archiving Sluggy Freelance and cross stitching. Sweet.
Oops, well, just had a student in. Heather stepped out for a minute so I got him, hahahaha. Some days, it’s a game to see who gets the student first. Some days, we just look at each other hoping the other will raise her hand first, hehe. Oh well, back to cross stitching. 😀
