Headache mountain

Grarr. My headache is powerful enough to break mountains! It sucks. So far I’ve taken two Tylenol, two Aleve, a Benadryl, and a vitamin this morning. I’m working on a Mello Yello, so maybe the caffeine will help too. I teach in about fifteen minutes, so I gotta get perky before then. So, random updates for now:

  1. Our washer is broken. The water doesn’t stay in the barrel; it runs right through. There’s a leak somewhere, but it’s not like I have a fucking clue how to fix washers. Dammit, this means laundromat because Ian’s out of clothes and I’m out of bras (big whoop there–I hate them anyway). Rotten washer.
  2. Jerry must be revised and sent to my committee by today. Dr. Phillips asked that it be sent today, so I’m going home after class to be able to devote all my time to it. If I were to stay here today, I’d get interrupted every two minutes by students and the phone. Besides, I have to go home early to make sure Ian is awake to go to class. So today is Jerry day.
  3. I think I might be allergic to flowers. I’ve known that I’ve had allergies in the spring for a while now was told that it was Terre Haute I was likely allergic to, not flowers. But Saturday I got three hyacinth plants which I named “Francesca,” and having her on my desk or in the same room seems to make my eyes itch. Maybe I got some pink eye from Heather, or maybe it’s just my Hautian allergies acting up, but my allergies are driving me nuts and preventing me from sleeping. Damn sinus/mucus membrane/head thingies.

  5. I haven’t lost weight in a while. I’m at 200 pounds even, at the moment. I need to start working out and try harder to keep up with the diet. I got off of it when Simon was up and just haven’t gotten back into the swing of things. Exercising more than just walking all over creation would help too. I hate being fat.
  6. Nails are still whore red. They need touched up though.
  7. Come to think of it, the horribly oppressive and dire weather probably isn’t helping my sinuses or allergies either. It looks like rain, and a lot of it. Good thing I have my handy-dandy umbrekka. Maybe I won’t break it.
  8. I did some cross-stitching this weekend while playing DnD. God, I love cross-stitching. It’s so relaxing and rewarding and pretty. I’ve had this particular pattern for about a year now, but I haven’t finished it because I got tied up in teaching and Jerry. Ah, to finish my dozen projects eventually. 😉
  9. I can’t wait until July when I’m laid off and have all the time in the world to sleep in and work on EQ and syllabi and cross-stitching and painting and Legos and all that. July will be so sweet. Financially, it’ll suck ass, but the sleeping in will be sweet. 🙂

So, there ya go. Time to teach! Gotta fill my students’ heads will silliness and mix in a little knowledge. 😉
