Happy birthday, Tommy!

Submissions for Guest Art week: 1

Yup, today’s Tommy’s birthday. He’s a whopping 24 now, following the all even or all odd trend that our family strangely has. Next up is Simon in June to complete the cycle. Then we’ll all start going odd with Mom. Haha, that has some funny connotations. At any rate, happy birthday, Tommy! I hope they don’t drop an engine or parts or something on you at work. 🙂

The Guest Art week submissions are still being accepted until March 19. <Snicker> What’m I talking about? I’ll take them during the week of Guest Art too–I just like sounding official, haha. So take your time making some fun art. The first ones I receive will be the first to go up, if I can remember what order I get them in. 😉 Draw!

On an unrelated note (as usual), I’ve noticed that in addition to all the gauges in the van not working, neither do the dashboard lights. Generally, that’s really no big deal because if the gauges aren’t working, who needs to see them? The thing is that I can’t tell whether my headlights are on or not or if I accidentally switch them to brights. Stupid dashboard. I hope it doesn’t cost much to fix. I hate money and the depressed feeling that not having it causes.

The thesis? Do you really have to ask? No, it’s not done yet. Yes, I know I suck and am miserable and retarded and backward and dumb and horrible for not having finished it yet. It’d help if it weren’t midterms and I had to do grading en masse to have grades turned in for all my students. If I taught upper classmen, I wouldn’t have to turn grades in, but for freshmen and everyone on probation (half my class), I have to. Stupid responsibilities. My brain is literally reeling from the strain I’ve been putting on it, and what I don’t want is another manic attack or dissociative fugue or bout of extreme depression. <Sigh> Doesn’t look like there’s much choice though, eh? I guess there’ll be time to do brain triage after the fact. For now, the battle rages on.

At least the sun’s out today. I also remembered to bring in a tea cup for sweet, bitter caffeine in all its glorious forms. I don’t have nearly as many bags today as I did yesterday, and since I don’t have to grade or teach or run errands, I might actually get something done. I don’t want to go so far as to say I’m thinking positively, but I will say that at least I’m not feeling quite as negatively. So, to arms! Eh, to the thesis!

    It's:

It's probably just a short somewhere in the dash. They'll probably have to replace a fuse. Actually you could do it yourself, just find the fuse box and find out what kind of fuses you have, then go to autozone or walmart and get a box of replacement fuses. I don't know if I'll submit anything today, I was sick last night and not feeling too well today. I might even cancel tutoring.

    Is okay:

Like I said, you've got tons of time to send something in (and that goes for the rest of you too!), so take your time and get better! I'll look into that fuse idea. That sounds like a good place to start!

    Zonarde!:

Oh my! Well good luck with the thesis, it really won't be the end of the world, right? Cause if it is then warn me, would ya? hehe

I like Lushbaugh's idea with the fuses. Do you still see how fast you are going? It's just the lighted things?

And Happy Birthday to Tommy! (although does he read us anyways?)

And I'm going to work on an art piece. Maybe I'll scan and send you one of Zach's, he's had some interesting stuff lately.

    Wheee! Neat!:

It'd be awesome to have some Zach art up here as well! You'll have to be sure to show him that his art's up on my page when I post it. He'd be excited. 🙂

And as for the dash: nope, nothing works other than the horribly mispelled light which reads "Check gages."

And I think that Tommy checks our pages like once a month or something. I can't remember. It's been a while since I've had time to talk to him and catch up on what's going on in his life.

    Remembers?:

Tommy is taking today off (I guess I'd better just stay at work today). As far as remembering, I think he has killed to may brain cells with his drinking (at least he gives them some serious stress ocassionally).

(What no messed up characters to type in to post?)

    Love, Dad

    Nope, no captcha:

The captcha's just for posts that actudally DO get spammed by spambots. I have about three pages which have suffered heavily from automated spammers, and this is a way for me to put those posts back up without having to deal with deleting massive amounts of stupid spam. I doubt you'll see the captcha on either of our pages very often.
