It’s odd–for the past couple weeks, I was exhausted as heck but was doing a very good job of getting new content typed up for the thesis. I mean, I tripled the number of pages I’d had within a week or so. That’s pretty productive for someone who could pass out at a moment’s notice. Now that I have some energy and actually feel awake most of the time, I haven’t felt that productive urge to just type. It’s not that I haven’t been working on the thesis–I’ve just been going over sources again or taking new notes out of library books rather than add new content to the thesis itself. Why the flip-flop?
Work has been work as usual. The calling list thing still haunts my desk as Cathy has said that we’re to keep trying these people until we get ahold of a human, not an answering machine or busy signal or whatever. Aside from that, Univ 101 is going well this term. I’ve got about 16 people actually registered for the class. Three of them have never shown up once, and out of the rest of them, about half of them show up on a regular basis. So I’ve got a nice small class at around 8 to 10 students a meeting. I already know their names, which is scary because usually I don’t get that down until near finals. I guess small classes just work for me. That’s how my major was: me, one or two other students, and the teacher. Small classes. They’re good.
Lessee, EQ-wise I’ve been playing sort of off and on. I have a couple characters I bounce between depending on what type of player I was to be that day: caster, melee, hybrid, etc. Lately I’ve been working on a high elf cleric because I need to get her up to level 29. At that level, I can imbue emeralds with the spirit of Tunare, the good-elf god(dess?) so my ranger (my main) can turn them into magic arrows which will be teh kickass. Of course, my ranger’s sitting at 21, but I’ll get her up too. I figure I can flip-flop between the characters to keep from going insane playing a caster. I’m a hybrid fan. Gimme some magic and some melee, but don’t limit me to just one or the other. And of course I have Beautyqueen, an ogress warrior who sells my stuff in the Bazaar. She’s on all the time but that’s just when I’m not home. She’s level 2 and will likely never gain another level since she’ll probably never leave that zone.
I still have a number of projects for the webpage. I was going to work on them a while back, but I can’t remember what distracted me. I also have laundry to do and laundry to put away. I’ve started another cross-stitch calendar cat, but I haven’t gotten very far into April yet. Maybe once the thesis is done. I’m on disk 5 of the SciFi collection. I’m in the middle of a Hurcules cluster which Ian refers to as pornography because of the skimpy-yet-retarded costumes and the horrible cinematography. And I had a dream last night that I was bleeding tea. I wonder if that’s because I’ve been consuming anywhere from two to five cups of it a day. Can we spell “inevitable kidney failure”? I can’t. 😉 Well, I have to finish getting ready for class. We’re meeting in the library and I need to be sure I have paper for notes and extra copies of Monday’s hand-out for the many people who weren’t there earlier this week. Tchus!
