Ah, I remember the good old days when Tony and I used to sit around and say “oi!” to each other for five minutes at a stretch. Now those good old days are gone ’cause that punk moved his ass to Indy and I haven’t gotten around to running over and visiting. Random. At any rate, while interesting (I’m sure to at least someone, even if that someone’s me), that’s not really the point of this post. Technically, I don’t have a point, but we’ll get to that pointlessness in a minute.
To begin with, the husband sent me to this really funny site which I laughed at and which many of my co-workers laughed at as well. It’s funny but scary at the same time because I know people who believe shit like this. Ye gods. I gotta admit though, that it does make an Atheist like me giggle.
I have two new students as of this week. I have another student in my 11:00 class bringing the total to 30, and I have another in my 2:00 bringing the total to 21. Today being the last day to add classes without a signature, I don’t think that anyone else will be coming in. They better not. I’ll kick ’em in the shins a while to repay them for their impudence. Impudence. That’s a fun word. I like to refer to my cat as an impudent little kitty. She is, though. She is impudent. That is asuming that I have any idea what that word means. Oh well.
So as my tiring day here at work draws to a close, I call to mind a funny joke I heard today at the French Table. What’s the difference between a terrorist and a college professor with tenure? You can negotiate with the terrorist. Yup, so will be the case with DR.EAD, the feared professor for sometime in the eventual future. Now I need to plan dinner. Oy!
That is awesome.:
That has to be the funniest thing I have read in a long time. I love how it shows that people just follow the rules in the bible that they feel apply to them, and decide which ones are relevant themselves… things like that really tip me from agnostic closer and closer to atheist all the time.
Isn't it great?:
Stuff like this just makes me smile. I'm glad you enjoyed laughing at it as well. 🙂
