I’m already amused by many of my students. Their first homework assignment was to e-mail me so that they would have to log onto the Sycamore Portal and so that I knew they knew how to get to their e-mail from there since that’s what I’ll be using to contact them. At any rate, I laughed at quite a number of their “Hello, I accessed my account” e-mails. One girl wrote “I like cheese too” in response to a joke I made in class. One guy wrote “I love pizza” to which I replied “Pizza is a college student’s best friend. 232-PAPA!” Yet another student quipped about how she was looking forward to my class because I seem to have a sense of humor whereas her other teachers are either serious or possibly crazy. I had to agree with her there. Another student wrote that he was e-mailing me because he knew he had to e-mail one of his teachers, but since he couldn’t remember which one, he was e-mailing us all. And yet another student said that she was looking forward to my class because she didn’t think it would put her to sleep like her history class. So true. I’m way more hyper than the history faculty. At any rate, I’ve heard from about 3/4 of them which is a pretty good response since the assignment is due today. Classes tomorrow will be interesting. I’m actually looking forward to it.
HEY!:
Fail that student who whined about her history class.
:
"Another student wrote that he was e-mailing me because he knew he had to e-mail one of his teachers, but since he couldn't remember which one, he was e-mailing us all. "
That would have been me back in the day… hehe Glad your students are keeping you amused, just remember this when they are pissing you all off by not showing up to class.
Why fail them?:
I would print it out and hand out copies to the class that they had to read aloud to you the day you have to give your talk.
Meh:
Bradley was my UNIV101 teacher and he kept me entertained for the most part… so far, Dolle is looking like the most amusing teacher Ill have this semester.
