Well, I've finally decided to post after not having messed with the internet for a couple weeks. I'm not sure what it is about being home all day, but it makes me incredibly uninterested in my computer. I'll admit that for a while it was the fact that we had no internet, and by the time it came back up, I was far too involved in my cross stitching and movie watching to really care a whole lot. But here I am, posting once more to let the world know that I haven't fallen off the face of the planet again. I've had the husband do some retooling of my site so that it looks different. I'd been meaning to change the appearance of the site for several months but hadn't gotten around to it mostly because I was waiting for a good opportunity to start afresh which the recent move permitted. Spiffy, eh?
At any rate, I've been pretty lazy the past several days. There's laundry which needs to be put up as well as trash which needs to be taken out. We still have a pile of boxes here behind my desk which needs going through, and my desk is woefully unfinished even after three weeks of being here. Part of this I blame on the week-long cold I had all of last week. Part of this I blame on lots of errand-running and having had the little bro up here for a whole week after having moved. Most of it I blame on laziness and side projects such as the campaign I'm running in DnD, all the cross stitching I've done (I'll have to post pics later) as well as the refound enthusiasm for Katamari Damacy. I suppose, at least, that I'm enjoying the last few days I have of my forced vacation. I go back to work Monday which means I'll have to finish figuring out my syllabus for Univ 101 all over again as well as start working full-time on my thesis in order to get it done by October or November. Since Tony moved to Indy, I won't be spending entire evenings in his office anymore, though I may be spending future evenings in the library huddled over old books. I have to say I'm looking forward to it. I love research.
Well, one way or another, I'm rambling, as usual. I really ought to check my e-mail and start cleaning. Maybe I'll grab a shower and start working on some of these boxes. At the very least, I should get my desk in order for the up-coming semester. No sense in not being ready to teach or to learn, eh? Hope everyone out there's doing fine since I haven't been keeping up on web pages or e-mail. I'll start messing with that once I'm stuck in my office for eight hours a day. Happy birthday, Sarah! You may be getting older, but you're not getting any taller. Be thankful? Hope you have a great b-day, little sis. Laters, all!
