Painful lesson

I was pretty tired after all the traveling and running around I did this weekend, so when I got up this morning and was groggier than usual (I hate mornings with a vengeance), I forgot to put my ankle braces on. Technically, I’m not wearing them because my ankles hurt or anything; I wear them because there’s something wrong with my heels (my co-workers insist it’s plantar fasciitis or however that’s spelled). At any rate, I walked to work and was there at the desk the entire day without the braces. Now that I’m home and despite the fact that I’ve been off my feet nearly this whole time, I can barely walk. My right heel hurts somewhat but I almost can’t put any pressure on my left at all without sharp, shooting pain. I’m seated once again and my heel is still throbbing from the short (and slow) trip I made to the bathroom. I seriously hate how screwed up my joints and tendons are. All I want is to get something to drink and to switch movies (just finished Prince of Persia ’cause Jake Gyllenhaal is hot and next up is a couple documentaries on the Titanic just ’cause I love documentaries) but I can’t stand standing. The husband has offered to get me a drink, and maybe I can con him into putting in my next film for me. Good thing I don’t really have much reason to get off the couch for a while ’cause it looks like I’m gonna be stuck here for the night.

    Heal problems:

If it is what I have, stretching the tendon that runs through the arch helps. I think I started with rolling my arch over a round object like a 1 to 2 inch cylinder. I also stretched the tendon by putting the ball of my foot on a step and lowering the heels below the level of the step and applying slight pressure.
